A God and Goddess, two heavenly deities of life, create the Earth together. Deciding not to govern the new planet, they bring four demigods/angels to life so as to take their place as rulers. Each child birthed are stronger, and more powerful than the last—the youngest of whom naturally being appointed as leader.
Over time, the Earth is formed to a higher degree, animals and humans are created, and morals, ethics, and natural laws are put into place. After which, having become exhausted, the four siblings retire to their palace in the heavens.
After parting ways, the demigods/angels would for many years live as to their own desires—be they travelling the world, or living comfortably in their palace. In fact, by the year 2000, they had quite forgotten the world they had created together. After convening, they decide it is time to inspect the current state of humanity, and, after doing so, are shocked at its level of poverty, pestilence, violence, and vulgarity.
